What will we do with your data?

Registration data

When you register you give us a Username, an Email address and a password.
The password is stored in an "unreadable" manner, so we can't recover it for you!
If you forget it, we will reset this password an send it to the Email you entered at registration.
The Email address is only used for communications about your account, or (in important cases) if the Email entered in the profile does not work.
We use this data only in-house without any kind of publishing.

Profile data

1. What we will NOT do
   
   • Use Data for anything else than communication about our products.
   • Give the data to any kind of third party
   • Display, publish or in any other kind make your data public without your permission.
     Don't worry - there are no "hidden permissions" anywhere in the registration or profile data. 
2. What we will do
   We store this information on a save place and will use it in the following cases:
   
   • Inform you about our products or product updates.
     We do this in a "as less as possible" way. So expect only to get mail if something notable happens.
   • Use it for communication  - so maybe we have a question or so on.
     This mostly happens after you enter / change your profile and some information is missing.
   • Don't worry - there are no "hidden permission" anywhere in the registration,  profile or reference data. 

Reference data

1. References (content)
   
   • When you provide us with reference we will publish it on this site and other sites of us related to TomTom Navigator related products.
     We will not publish the information on third party sites without asking for an extra permission!
   • We decide if or if not we display a reference.
     So for some cases (some times) we will possibly not publish your reference information.
2. Contact information (optional)
   When you add a reference you can enter contact information if different from profile data. Or you choose to use your profile data for the reference.
   
   • You can choose to publish the contact information.
     You decide what kind of and if the contact information is published.
   • You can always change this status.
     If you decide to "hide" your contact information you can do this by changing the information in the reference.
     So if you want to show some contact information (for marketing reasons for an example) this is not a "for ever" choice!
