The problem is that you will have to run TomTom Navigator 6.x which means outdated maps and possible problems with newer devices.
If you want to use a fully supported navigation system with actual maps we recommend that you switch to the Sygic Navigator
This product offers an SDK which is very similar to the TomTom Navigator SDK - so migration shall be easy.
Why we recommend Sygic:
- Good support at first hand
- A modern Navigation Solution (with actual maps)
- Native .NET support in the SDK (no need for third party solutions)
- Many operating systems supported including Linux and Android
- A partner which is even able to adapt the Navigation solution to your needs.

TTNCFFinal
What is TTNCFFinal?
TTNCFFinal is a wrapper that enables you to program the TomTom Navigator 6.x with Microsoft .NET languages.
Take a look at the new elements compared to the existing
Highlights:
- Full TomTom SDK 6 Support
All functions and the whole functionality (GPS Driver, RAW GPS, Command handling...) are supported - Full .NET 2.0 Support
TTNCFFinal includes TWO wrappers - one for the .NET CF 1.0 and on for .NET 2.0.
- Full TomTom SDK 6 subversion support
Since there have been shipped 3 versions of the SDK for TomTom Navigator 6 we include three different versions of our helper to enable all of these versions.
- Rich Set of samples
TTNCFFinal includes more than 5000 lines of sample source code.
This includes calls to almost every function of the SDK and also enhanced functionality like RAW GPS Output and GPS driver support.
- Extra functionality beyond the pure SDK functions
Starting with supporting functions (not included in the .NET CF - but often needed with TomTom related development)
up to "keep alive" support TTNCFFinal includes all you need to build TomTom enabled applications.
- TomTom Navigator Version fix in sample
Since the SDK (and so our wrapper) depends on the installed version of the Navigator TomTom provided an update with their SDKs.
With TTNCFFinal we include this fix (to 6.031) in our sample
So you can run our sample even if you have an older TomTom Navigator 6 subversion.

Support via our forums
All support calls are handle via our forums.
In special cases we will initiate email communication.
Forums are good for you: you may get the answer before your even ask the question.
We provide 2 levels of support:
- Standard support
Available for TTNCFFinal Single developer
Access to public forums.
The difference to a "not supported user" is that you are allowed to create posts.
You can read and post in all forums - except the priority forums.
- Priority support
Available for
- TTNCFFinal Three developers
-
TTNCFFinal Enterprise edition
-
TTNCFFinal Enterprise SC (source code)
Access to public forums.
PLUS: exclusive access to the priority forums.
Those forums we provide are "linked" to senior developers.
So when you create a post - it will generate an automated Email to our developers.
Further we provide access to "non release versions" of our software in the priority forums.
Normally we collect problems and feature wishes, implement (fix) them and after a certain timer (or number of changes) we provide a new release.
With priority support you can get the "in between versions" as soon as they are stable.
